Football is a family tradition for Marcellus. Father played at Illinois State and then professionally as a defensive lineman and his Brother, Eric II, played football at Missouri State, now professionally for the Indianapolis Colts. Marcellus played his previous seasons at Eastern Michigan. As a senior in 2021, he started all 13 games at left tackle for the Eagles. He Started all six games during the COVID season in 2020 and appeared in all 13 games as a redshirt freshman in 2019. He earned his degree in Construction Management.
